Tensions between Iran and the United States in the Middle East have now escalated into direct conflict. At least 29 US soldiers have been injured in a series of Iranian drone and missile attacks on a key military base in Saudi Arabia in the past week. This highly confidential information has recently come to light, citing various international media outlets and related sources.

Iran launched a massive attack on the Prince Sultan air base, located about 96 kilometers from Riyadh, with 6 ballistic missiles and 29 drones in the past 24 hours. At least 15 US soldiers were injured in this attack, 5 of whom are in critical condition. Earlier this week, 14 soldiers were injured in two separate attacks. In total, the number of injuries in the past seven days has reached 29.

The Prince Sultan air base is primarily operated by the Royal Saudi Air Force, but it has long been used by US forces. This precise Iranian attack proves that even Saudi Arabia's internal military installations are no longer beyond the reach of Iranian missiles. Although US officials initially admitted that only 10 people were injured, internal reports later revealed the true number of casualties.

Analysts believe that the attack sent a strong message to Washington amid ongoing tensions over the Strait of Hormuz. On the one hand, while America, which is in economic crisis, is struggling to maintain its influence in the Middle East, on the other hand, this direct military challenge by Iran has once again highlighted the limitations of US defense systems. After this incident, concerns are growing around the world about the future of the US military presence in the Middle East and the possibility of a strong countermeasure.
