Prime Minister at BNP office in Nayapaltan

For the first time after assuming office as Prime Minister, party Chairman Tarique Rahman visited the BNP central office in Nayapaltan in the capital. He reached the office at 7 pm on Saturday, said the Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman. At that time, party leaders and activists welcomed him.

Atiqur Rahman said, "BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working in his chamber at the central office in Nayapaltan in the evening. He is talking to the leaders of the party and its affiliates about the activities of various organizations. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed, and Vice Chairman Nurul Islam Moni are present in the meeting.

Earlier, the Prime Minister participated in the BNP parliamentary party meeting at the Parliament House. Various issues of the parliamentary session were discussed in the meeting under her chairmanship. From there, the Prime Minister went to Nayapaltan.

Meanwhile, leaders and activists started gathering in front of the office from 2:30 pm, waiting for the arrival of the party chairman. People thronged Nayapaltan from 4:30 pm. Leaders and activists kept the entire area buzzing with slogans of 'Tareq Rahman's arrival, welcome'.

Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies, including members of the Prime Minister's Special Security Force, have been stationed around the office since morning as the Prime Minister is expected to visit the party office.
