US President Donald Trump said that ‘regime change’ has already taken place in Iran and that the US has dealt a ‘major blow’ to Iran. He made the remarks in a speech at an economic investment conference in Miami on Friday evening.

Trump claimed that US forces had ‘destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities’ and that Iran had ‘no more air force or air defenses.’ He also said, ‘We killed the supreme leader and it appears his son was seriously injured.’

Trump said that the US had struck 3,450 Iranian targets and another 3,450 were still to be targeted. He said that he would decide later what to do next regarding Iran. Calling Iran a "terrorist state," he said Middle Eastern countries would "soon be free from Iranian terror and pressure."

Trump called on Tehran to open the Strait of Hormuz, calling Iran's attacks on Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait "unexpected."

Trump also warned about Cuba. Although his administration has begun talks with the Cuban leadership, he said, "I built this great military. I said it doesn't have to be used, but sometimes it has to be used. And Cuba will be the next target."

Trump expressed anger that NATO countries did not provide military assistance to secure the Strait of Hormuz. He said Washington "spends billions of dollars on their (NATO) defense," but based on their behavior, he did not think it was mandatory. He also indicated that the United States may not respond to requests for military assistance.
