Following Apple’s typical launch pattern, the iPhone 17 base model is expected to be unveiled between September 11–13, 2025, with pre-orders beginning shortly thereafter. If the company sticks to its usual release schedule, sales may start by September 19, 2025 in India and other key markets.

New design leak: Logo shift and camera bar
According to Apple insider Majin Bu, the iPhone 17 Pro may feature a repositioned Apple logo -- potentially located near the bottom of the rear panel, beneath a redesigned horizontal camera bar. This would mark Apple’s first major logo placement change since the iPhone 11, which centered the logo and removed the “iPhone” text.

Bu claims that case manufacturers have already begun designing accessories to accommodate the new layout, hinting that Apple’s design changes are either finalized or close to completion.

Camera redesign and layout changes
The new layout reportedly maintains the triple-camera system on the left side while shifting the LiDAR sensor and flash to the right -- creating a wider, top-spanning camera bar.

This marks a major departure from the square camera module Apple introduced with the iPhone 11. While Apple has yet to confirm the redesign, consistent leaks from industry insiders suggest it’s highly probable.

Cooling and hardware innovations
In addition to visual changes, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to feature a vapour chamber cooling system, which would help address heat dissipation challenges -- especially under heavy usage. However, the system is reportedly still under testing, and final implementation remains uncertain.
