President Donald Trump has once again claimed that Iran is negotiating with the United States to end the war in the Middle East. Trump made the remarks at a Republican Party fundraiser in Washington on Wednesday (March 25), local time.

He said that he heard Iranian leaders rejecting the US peace plan and saying they do not want to participate in the negotiations.

The US president disagreed with the Iranian leaders' statements, saying that they are negotiating with us. They are very interested in making a deal. But they are afraid to admit it because they think their own people can kill them. They are even afraid of dying at our hands.

Donald Trump has been claiming for several days that 'very good and productive negotiations' are underway between the United States and Iran. However, Iran has repeatedly said that it is not negotiating with the United States. Even Iranian leaders have said, ‘The United States is negotiating with itself.’

In an interview given to Iranian state media on Wednesday night (March 25) local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Washington has been sending messages to Tehran through some friendly countries for the past few days. Iran has also made its position clear and given warnings. This does not mean that negotiations are underway.

Stating that Iran does not want war, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that Tehran wants this war to end permanently. He also said that Tehran wants compensation for the losses it has suffered in this war that has been going on for almost four weeks.
