Rickshaw puller buys NCP nomination form

Rickshaw puller Sujan, who came into the limelight after saluting the July Uprising, has bought the nomination form of the National Citizens Party (NCP) to contest the Dhaka-8 constituency in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

He collected the nomination form from the NCP office at 7:30 pm on Thursday (November 20). Top NCP leaders were also seen with him at that time.

Sujan came into the limelight after saluting the students protesting during the July Revolution. He is hopeful that he will win the election with that popularity and love.

Sujan told Jugantor, "I have seen the struggle, I have struggled. I have bought the nomination form from the NCP. I will vote from the capital's Dhaka-8 constituency. I am a common man, I will vote with common people. By buying my nomination form, it has been proven that everyone has equal rights in a political party. Anyone can vote, anyone can buy the election form for party nomination. For this, I am grateful to the NCP.

Incidentally, Mirza Abbas, a member of the party's standing committee, has been nominated by BNP for Dhaka-8 constituency. Advocate Helal Uddin has been nominated by Jamaat for this constituency. And Inqilab Manch spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi has announced that he will contest from this constituency as an independent.
