Shahbaz Sharif wants to meet Prime Minister Tarique Rahman

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed interest in coming to Dhaka. He wants to meet Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said this in an interview with Bangladesh's Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Bangladesh Foreign Ministry has learned about the meeting of the two foreign ministers on the sidelines of the OIC's Palestine Executive Meeting in Jeddah on Friday (February 27), and the Pakistani foreign minister recalled his meeting with the late former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

Ishaq Dar said that Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is eagerly waiting to meet Tarique Rahman and he wants to come to Dhaka.

The Pakistani Prime Minister also said that relations between the two countries will continue to progress under the new government. He also praised Bangladesh's stance on the Palestine and Rohingya issues. The Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir was present during the meeting.
