Sonali Bank Chairman Muslim Chowdhury resigns

State-owned Sonali Bank Chairman Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury and General Insurance Corporation Chairman Md. Towhid Samad have resigned.

Several officials confirmed that they had sent their resignation letters to Financial Institutions Department Secretary Najma Mobarek on Monday (March 2).

They said that both officials resigned citing personal reasons.

In addition, Bangladesh Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) Chairman Aslam Alam also resigned on Monday morning.

When asked about the matter, Financial Institutions Department Secretary Najma Mobarek did not immediately agree to comment.
