Gulf airspace closed, more than 3,400 flights canceled

More than 3,400 flights have been canceled in the past few days due to the closure of Middle Eastern airspace.
As a result, it is estimated that about 300,000 people are currently stranded in the Gulf region. It has been reported that the UK has already sent a special rescue team to deal with the situation and evacuate its citizens. At least six to seven major airports in the region, including Dubai International, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Doha's Hamad International, are currently completely suspended.
These airports in the Gulf countries serve as major connecting hubs between Europe, Asia and Africa. As a result, the closure of these 'hubs' has had a devastating negative impact on global air traffic, which is spreading like a 'domino effect' around the world. With the airspace closed indefinitely and the intensity of the war increasing, thousands of passengers are now living in extreme uncertainty.
Social media has been flooded with cries of stranded passengers at Hamad, Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports. Passengers have been forced to wait for hours in long lines to rebook tickets, collect hotel vouchers or receive any assistance. Many have been seen spending the night inside airport terminals. There is no sign of an end to the impasse until the airspace reopens.
