There is doubt about the Pakistan cricket team's tour of Bangladesh. This is due to the ongoing war situation in the Middle East. According to the schedule, a three-match ODI series is scheduled to be held on March 11, 13 and 15.

Pakistani media outlet Geo Super reported that the tour will be finalized considering the current security situation. The Pakistan team will come to Bangladesh only if there is no uncertainty or security risk related to travel. This is why the announcement of the team for the series is being delayed. It is said that the Pakistan Cricket Board is monitoring the situation.

Meanwhile, the T20 World Cup final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium on March 8. Pakistan exited before the semi-finals of the World Cup. Due to its poor performance in the World Cup, there may be big changes in the Pakistan team for the tour of Bangladesh. Discussions are also underway regarding the places of some players like Babar Azam, Mohammad Nawaz and Saim Ayub. The main goal is to rebuild the team with the 2027 ODI World Cup in mind. Shaheen Shah Afridi is currently leading the Pakistan ODI team.

To directly participate in the 2027 ODI World Cup, teams must be in the top eight in the ODI rankings by March 31 next year. The 14-team World Cup will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. As hosts, South Africa and Zimbabwe will play directly.
