The US military has detected a drone in Washington, DC. The unmanned aerial vehicle was seen in a place where Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth live.
This information was reported in a report by the Washington Post on Wednesday (March 18) local time. It was not immediately clear where the drone came from or whether it was a military attack.
However, the administration of US President Donald Trump has always said that Iran has mastered the technology that allows it to launch missiles or drone attacks directly into the United States.
Even before the US invasion of Iran began, the US Central Intelligence Agency FBI had warned that Iran could launch drone attacks in California if attacked.
The Washington Post report says that the drone was detected over the US military base where Rubio and Hegseth live.
US officials have detected unidentified drones over a military base in Washington, where Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth reside, the media outlet reported, citing three people familiar with the situation. Officials have not yet confirmed where the drones came from, the report said.
Officials are considering relocating Rubio and Hegseth to another location due to the drone presence over Fort McNair, the report said.
