Tottenham’s path ends with victory, Atletico in the quarters

Tottenham Hotspur had to pay the price for a big loss in the first leg. Despite defeating Atletico Madrid 3-2 at home in the second leg on Wednesday, the English Premier League team had to leave the Champions League in the last 16. Because, Atletico Madrid was leading 7-5 on aggregate.
Tottenham faced a difficult equation after losing 5-2 in Madrid in the first leg. However, they regained some confidence after drawing against Liverpool, which was reflected in this match.
They created several more chances in the first half, but could not increase the gap. On the other hand, Atletico occasionally put pressure on the counterattack, but goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was unable to equalize until the break.
