Kangana’s explosive comments on Nora Fatehi’s song

Kangana Ranaut, the BJP MP from Mandi Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh, is a popular and controversial Bollywood actress. She is known for her bold acting and outspokenness. In the 2024 Indian general elections, she won from Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh on a BJP ticket and became a member of the Lok Sabha. She has been in the news for harshly criticizing the opposition, including the Congress, on women's rights and nationalist issues.
Now, a song from the movie 'KD: The Devil' has created a new storm of controversy in Bollywood. Amidst the heavy criticism surrounding that song, actress Kangana Ranaut has now opened up.
Kangana Ranaut has directly attacked the entire Bollywood industry. Nora Fatehi performed in the recently released song 'Sarse Ninna Seraga Sarse'. However, soon after its release, a storm of criticism started among netizens on social media about the song.
‘KD: The Devil’ is a Kannada period drama directed by Prem. The film stars Dhruv Sarja and Sanjay Dutt in important roles. The controversy surrounding a song has now raised new questions about Bollywood’s content and boundaries. In this context, Kangana Ranaut said that Bollywood has crossed all limits in the competition for obscenity and attention. The whole country is condemning it, but they are not ashamed of it either.
Not only criticizing, Kangana Ranaut also expressed a strong stance. She said that it is necessary to bring strict control over such content. There should be strict rules in Bollywood.
The matter has finally reached the government level. It is learnt that the concerned authorities have sent a notice to the makers based on the complaint. The language used and presentation in the song have also been described as ‘objectionable’. A section of the audience has complained that the lyrics and presentation of the song are ‘obscene’ and ‘sexually suggestive’.
It is worth noting that a large section of netizens expressed their anger after the song from the movie 'KD: The Devil' was released on YouTube. Many commented that the song was 'ugly' and 'unacceptable'. As the pressure of criticism continued to mount, the makers finally removed the song from social media.
