Anya, who was transformed from a boy to a girl, wants to help India win the World Cup

Anya Bangar's path to a return to professional cricket has been cleared. Cricket Australia has given her a chance to play in the Women's Big Bash League. After that, she has sent a message to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Anya, the son of former Indian batsman and coach Sanjay Bangar, said that at one point, she almost gave up on her dream of playing professional cricket. But the support and acceptance of people around her gave her renewed confidence.

In an interview with India Today, Anya said that she has high expectations from the BCCI. She wants the board to create a policy that is fair and dignified for all to give opportunities to players like her in women's cricket. Her dream is to one day win the World Cup for India.

"I just hope that the BCCI will think about the matter and make a policy for women's sports that is open, fair and dignified for all. I want to win the World Cup for India one day. I want to win something for the country. That is my dream," Anya said.

He added, "This journey has been very difficult. I have had to endure a lot of criticism, not just from people but also from within my family. I have received a little bit of support, but I have not felt fully supported throughout this journey."

Before gaining public acceptance, Anya said she spent her days in a cricket dressing room in the UK. She later became active on social media and signed some brand deals to help her transition from boy to girl.

"There was a time when I was living in a dressing room in the UK to survive and make ends meet. I was in that situation for about five months. Then I decided to come to social media to help myself and raise money for the surgery. I did that. I got some brand deals. I also had my first few surgeries done during that time," he said.

"Honestly, the whole journey was crazy. It was lonely, it was hard. But the loneliness has helped me a lot throughout this whole time. I think that's why I'm so confident and strong now," he said.
