Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan's luxurious sea-facing house 'Mannat' has been undergoing renovations for several months. That's why Shah Rukh Khan is staying elsewhere with his family. But how exactly will Shah Rukh's house be changed? Will a new floor be added? Will the entire look change? - said real estate businessman and one of Bollywood's producers Anand Pandit in a recent interview.
Earlier, in the early 2000s, Anand Pandit founded his luxury real estate company 'Shri Lotus Developers and Realty'. He got the opportunity to work with Bollywood stars from the company's first project. Anand said, I got great buyers in that project. Actor Hrithik Roshan bought two floors. Director Rakesh Roshan bought three. Actor Ajay Devgan bought one floor. It became one of the most popular projects of that time.
Since then, his business has grown steadily and his presence in Bollywood's inner circle has also increased. He says, "We do work for almost every star. 80-90 percent of Bollywood is associated with my company." Currently, his company is also working on two luxury properties of Shah Rukh. The first of these is the palatial bungalow 'Mannat' at Bandra Bandstand. Currently, renovation work is underway there. Anand says, "We are building several floors towards the back of Mannat."
During the renovation of 'Mannat', Shah Rukh and his family - wife, producer and interior designer Gauri Khan, elder son and director Aryan Khan, daughter and actress Suhana Khan and younger son AbRam Khan - have rented a luxurious duplex apartment at 'Pooja Casa' in Bandra's Pali Hill area. Pooja Casa is owned by veteran producer Basu Bhagnani.
Anand is working on renovating another property of Shah Rukh Khan's. Before joining the project, he was unaware of the actor's emotional connection with the house. Anand said, "When we started working, I had no idea. Although Shah Rukh sir had mentioned this incident once before. But he did not mention the name of the multi-storey building."
How did the actor's emotions get involved with this high-rise? Anand was telling Shah Rukh about the renovation of several high-rises on Carter Road in Bandra. At that time, he mentioned the name 'Shri Amrit Society'. Shah Rukh, excited to hear the name, told him that this was the first flat he bought in Mumbai after moving to Mumbai from Delhi and marrying Gauri in 1991.
Shah Rukh Khan has kept the flat even after moving to 'Mannat' in 2001. It is currently rented out. This house also faces the sea. According to various reports, the project is expected to be completed by 2027 with an additional 155 percent of the space being created across 2,800 square feet.
Shah Rukh Khan has sought permission from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority for vertical expansion of his massive house, as it is located close to the heritage property 'Mannat' and the sea. Shah Rukh Khan has applied for the addition of two floors. This will increase the total built-up area of the house to 616.02 square meters. The estimated cost of the work is Rs 25 crore.
