The biggest FIFA World Cup in history, held in North America, is now in the excitement of the knockout stage. In the fourth week of this tournament, which started with 48 teams, only a handful of teams are still in the race for the title. After the last sixteen matches, four teams have already confirmed their quarter-finals.
So far, Morocco, France, Norway and England have made it to the last eight. Some have won easily, while others have managed to overcome last-minute pressure and confirmed their next round.
Meanwhile, four last-16 matches for the remaining four quarter-final tickets will be held over the next two days.
Remaining schedule of the last sixteen
Monday (July 6)
Portugal vs. Spain — 1:00 PM Bangladesh time, Dallas Stadium, USA.
Tuesday (July 7)
United States vs. Belgium — 6:00 AM Bangladesh time, Seattle Stadium, USA.
Switzerland vs. Colombia — 2:00 PM Bangladesh time, BC Place Stadium, Vancouver, Canada.
Argentina vs. Egypt — 10:00 PM Bangladesh time, Atlanta Stadium, United States.
Quarterfinal schedule
July 9- France and Morocco will face each other in the first match of the last eight. The match will be held at Boston Stadium, United States.
July 10- In the second quarterfinal, the winner of the Portugal-Spain match will play against the winner of the USA-Belgium match. Venue: Los Angeles Stadium.
July 11- Norway and England will face each other in the third quarterfinal. The match will be held at Miami Stadium.
Finally, the fourth quarterfinal will be held on July 12. There, the winner of the Argentina-Egypt match will play against the winner of the Switzerland-Colombia match. Venue: Kansas City Stadium.
The World Cup's last eight matches have seen the competition for the title intensify with the presence of powerful teams from Europe, Africa and America. The quarter-final lineup will be complete after the remaining four matches of the last 16.
