Brazil have come under scrutiny after a disappointing 1–1 draw against Morocco in their opening World Cup match, raising questions over the form of the five-time world champions. However, the team is now focused on bouncing back when they face Haiti in their next Group C fixture.

Ahead of the match in Philadelphia, head coach Carlo Ancelotti hinted at possible changes to the starting lineup, saying the team must improve its overall performance.

“We will make some changes. We need to improve our performance. This team is capable of playing much better football, and that is what we want to see,” Ancelotti said at the pre-match press conference.

According to Brazilian media outlet Globo, Ancelotti jokingly mentioned the possibility of four to five changes in the squad during his interaction with journalists, later clarifying that his comment was made in a light-hearted context.

Several key players, including Raphinha and Casemiro, failed to meet expectations against Morocco, leading to debate over potential lineup adjustments. However, Ancelotti refused to judge players based on a single match.

“In the first half we were well below expectations. The pressure of wearing the Brazil shirt may have affected the players. But I want to give them more opportunities because the whole team underperformed that day,” he added.

The Brazilian coach also emphasized flexibility in playing style, stating that he does not want his team to be restricted to a single tactical identity.

“I don’t want a fixed identity for the team. I want a team that can adapt to all situations and play different types of football,” he said.

Haiti will face Brazil in their Group C match on Saturday at 6:30 a.m. Bangladesh time. Brazil will be aiming for a victory to strengthen their position in the World Cup standings.
