Brazil have moved up one place in the latest FIFA rankings despite facing criticism following their 1–1 draw against Morocco in New Jersey on June 14. The performance has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with fans expressing concern over the team’s form ahead of their next World Cup match.

Brazil are now ranked fifth in the world with 1,765.34 points, according to the latest FIFA update released one week after the start of the World Cup.

Despite drawing with Brazil, Morocco also benefited from the latest rankings. The North African side climbed one place to sixth position.

Argentina continue to hold the top spot in the rankings. The world champions earned an additional 11.80 points following a 3–0 victory over Algeria in Kansas City, taking their total to 1,889.06 points.

There were notable changes among several European powerhouses. Spain dropped one place to third after a goalless draw against Cape Verde, while Portugal slipped two places to seventh following a draw with DR Congo.

Belgium also fell one spot to tenth after being held by Egypt. Meanwhile, England and the Netherlands retained their positions at fourth and eighth respectively. England’s ranking points rose to 1,847.68 after a 4–2 win over Croatia.

Germany climbed one place to ninth after a 7–1 win over Curaçao. Their points remain unchanged at 1,753.54, with the improvement driven by shifts in other teams’ positions rather than their own points gain.

France moved up to second place after gaining 16.41 points, taking their total to 1,887.11 and closing in on leaders Argentina.
