Woman gets slapped 20 times for throwing chilli powder to rob gold

A woman disguised as a customer entered a gold shop in broad daylight to rob it. Then she threw chilli powder at the gold shopkeeper. However, the woman's plan was foiled when the shopkeeper quickly put up resistance. Immediately, the shopkeeper started slapping the woman repeatedly. One such video has gone viral on social media.

According to NDTV on Saturday (November 8), the incident took place on November 3 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The incident that took place at around 12:30 pm that day was captured on CCTV and has since gone viral. The woman, who had her face covered, entered a gold shop disguised as a customer and shortly after, in an attempt to rob it, suddenly threw chilli powder in the shopkeeper's eyes.

The report also said that the chilli powder could not reach her eyes. Realizing the woman's intention, the shopkeeper immediately got up and slapped her repeatedly. The shopkeeper slapped her about 20 times in 25 seconds and then kicked her out of the shop while slapping her continuously.

The entire incident was recorded on the shop's CCTV camera and later the video went viral on social media. After the incident came to light, the police have launched an investigation. However, the police said that the shopkeeper refused to file a complaint in this regard. However, the police have started an investigation to identify the accused woman based on the CCTV footage.

Ahmedabad Police also confirmed in a statement that they met the complainant businessman twice in person and requested him to file a complaint, but the businessman did not agree. Even then, the police are conducting an investigation to find the culprit based on the footage.
