The genocidal Israel and its ally the United States have jointly attacked Iran, spreading violence throughout the Middle East. Tehran is responding harshly to this aggression that began on February 28. It is fighting bravely by launching retaliatory attacks on more than 10 countries alone. In the meantime, another European country has condemned this aggression.

Swiss Defense Minister Martin Pfister has commented that the United States and Israel have violated international law by attacking Iran.

In an interview with the Sonntags Zeitung newspaper published on Sunday (March 8), Pfister said, “The Swiss Federal Council believes that this attack on Iran is contrary to international law.” Quoting the Swiss cabinet, he also said, “In our view, this is a violation of the prohibition of violence.”

He called on all parties involved to cease hostilities to protect civilians.

Pfister clarified that he was referring to countries that do not abide by the prohibition of violence, including the United States and Israel.

He said, “The Americans and the Israelis carried out airstrikes on Iran. In doing so, they violated international law, which Iran also followed.”

His comments echoed those of German Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Lars Klingbel. Klingbel told the RND newspaper network that “I have serious doubts about whether this war is legal under international law.”

Klingbel also warned that we are moving towards a world where there are no rules left—this is a great danger. We do not want to live in a world where only the principle of ‘force prevails’ applies.

Meanwhile, Spain has also condemned the US and Israeli bombing of Iran as reckless and illegal. Experts say the US and Israeli attacks on Iran likely violated the UN Charter's "prohibition of aggression" and have no legal basis.
