‘US is plotting to divide Iran and plunder its oil’

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai accused the US of having a blueprint to divide Iran and plunder its vast oil resources.

In a press conference on Monday (March 9), he strongly criticized the US move, saying that the Americans’ intentions behind this plan are now as clear as day. Their main goal is to undermine Iran’s sovereignty and illegally establish control over the country’s natural resources.

Baghai further commented that the US is instigating this conflict not only for economic interests, but also to defeat the Iranian people and undermine their human dignity. He warned that Iran would resolutely resist any attempt to divide Iran’s territory or steal its resources.

Baghai's statement, in the context of current regional tensions, further exacerbates the long-standing political and military dispute between Tehran and Washington.
