US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (March 11) that the US position against Iran is “very strong” and that we are “actively watching” the Strait of Hormuz.

US-Iran tensions have caused tension in global markets. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that if the US and Israeli attacks do not stop, they will disrupt oil transportation from the Gulf.

Trump told reporters, “We are conducting our operations across the country and now we will be watching the Strait of Hormuz very closely. The Strait is in very good condition now. I am thinking about getting it under control now.” At the same time, Trump said that Iran is almost defeated, but the United States can launch an attack that would almost disable the country if it wanted to.

With these comments, Trump once again reiterated his tough stance on Iran and warned of the potential impact on international security and the economy.
