Jet fuel price increased by 17 taka per liter

The price of jet fuel, the fuel used in aircraft operations, has been fixed for the month of March. The price of jet fuel per liter for domestic flights has been fixed at 112 taka 41 paisa. Last month, it was 95 taka 12 paisa. That is, the price has been increased by 17 taka 29 paisa per liter.

In addition, the price of fuel per liter for international flights has been increased from 0.6257 dollars to 0.7384 dollars. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new price in a notification on Sunday (March 8).

Earlier in February, the price of domestic flights was increased from 94 taka 93 paisa to 95 taka 12 paisa per liter. In addition, the price of jet fuel for international airlines was increased from 0.6246 dollars to 0.6257 dollars.

The new prices will be effective from 12 midnight on Sunday, the notification also said.
