US President Donald Trump has given a final warning to intensify the ongoing military campaign against Iran.

In an interview with US Fox News, Trump made it clear that if Tehran does not return to the negotiating table immediately, major attacks will be carried out targeting Iran’s major power plants and bridges next week.

In the interview, Trump said, ‘Next week is going to be really terrible for them (Iran). Because next week our target will be their power plants and bridges. If they do not sit down and negotiate and come to an agreement, we will destroy all their power plants and bridges.’

This stubborn stance of the US military came at a time when the US military has carried out air strikes on Iranian territory for the fourth consecutive day and has reimposed a strict naval blockade on the country’s ports.

As a result, the very fragile ceasefire agreement reached between the two sides on June 17 has officially collapsed.

Currently, the main focus of this war is the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's main oil transportation routes. Both Washington and Tehran are desperately trying to take control of this important waterway.

How long will this attack last?

In response to the media's question about how long this US military operation will last, Donald Trump, in his usual aggressive style, said, "This attack will continue until I say 'enough is enough.'"

Experts believe that after Trump's direct threat, the war situation in the Middle East is heading towards extreme uncertainty, which could cause even greater disruption to the global economy and energy markets.
