Attack on Iran ‘illegal’: US Senator

US Senator Edward J. Markey has called Trump’s military strike on Iran ‘illegal and unconstitutional’.

In a statement, Markey said the strike was not authorized by Congress. It would endanger all Americans.

He added that Trump’s illegal actions have increased the risk of escalating the tension into a larger regional war, which poses a serious threat to US troops and civilians in the region.

Markey said Trump has consistently exaggerated the threat of Iran’s nuclear program, even after claiming that the US had “destroyed” Iran’s nuclear program during his illegal ‘Operation Midnight Hammer’ strike (last June).
