At least 19 people have been killed and 16 others injured after two residential buildings collapsed in the African country of Morocco, Anadolu news agency reported on Wednesday (December 10), citing the country's media.
According to local media reports, two residential buildings collapsed in northern Morocco early Wednesday morning. 19 people were killed and 16 were injured. However, no details were given about the cause of the incident.
Quoting local authorities, Morocco's state news agency MAP reported that two four-story buildings collapsed in the Al-Masirah neighborhood of Fes. Eight families lived in the building.
The report also said that the injured were rushed to the hospital after the incident. The administration has already launched a search and rescue operation at the scene. As part of this, people have been evacuated from the area around the accident site.
