US arms shortage a major obstacle to military operations against Iran

Dan Kaine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has warned President Donald Trump that the US military's shortage of ammunition and missiles could have a major negative impact on the ongoing military operations against Iran.

A US official confirmed this information in an interview with the Associated Press (AP).

A recent analysis by the Washington-based research institute 'Center for Strategic and International Studies' (CSIS) has also revealed a similar picture. According to them, since the start of the war against Iran, America's already depleted stockpile of Patriot and THAAD interceptor missiles has been depleting faster.

The analysis also says that if this conflict and war situation in the Middle East continues for a long time, this extreme shortage of weapons will put US troops and military bases deployed in the region at even greater risk.
