Meeting with Trump ‘Excellent’: Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the talks as ‘excellent’ in a video message after a private meeting with Donald Trump at the White House.

Netanyahu said the meeting reflected ‘full partnership, mutual support and an understanding to ensure that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon.’

He added that the meeting was an opportunity to ‘exchange views and take important steps for Israel’s security and future.’ He did not elaborate, however.

Earlier, the White House described the meeting, which was attended by other senior US administration officials, as ‘positive and productive.’

Meanwhile, rights activists have gathered in Washington, DC, the US capital, to protest against the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
