Franchise team Rajshahi Warriors has decided to dedicate the official jersey of the upcoming BPL to the memory of Inqilab Manch spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi. The team announced this special initiative through a statement on the day of nationwide state mourning today (December 20). Rajshahi authorities have also decided not to organize any formal jersey unveiling ceremony to honor the sacrifice and contribution of Sharif Osman Hadi. Instead, the jersey will be released directly on the team's official page on social media.

Rajshahi Warriors said in their Facebook post that this jersey has been dedicated as a symbol of deep respect and gratitude to Shaheed Hadi. These representatives from North Bengal will enter the field of battle with his memory and ideals. Considering the strong interest of the fans and supporters, this special jersey will be made public on social media tomorrow, Sunday (December 21). The team has said that Sharif Osman Hadi was a warrior born in the moment and they have taken it as a moral responsibility to pay respect to him.

It is worth noting that the curtain of the 12th edition of the BPL will be raised on December 26 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Rajshahi Warriors will face the hosts Sylhet Titans in the opening match at 2 pm. Chittagong Royals and Noakhali Express will fight in the second match of the day at 7 pm on the same day.

After the Sylhet phase, the tournament will be held at the Chittagong and Dhaka venues. A total of 34 matches will be held at the three venues. The eliminator and first qualifier of the tournament will be held on January 19 and the curtain will be raised on this edition with the grand final on January 23.

It is worth mentioning that on December 12, Hadi was shot from a moving motorcycle while he was in the capital's Bijoynagar area for a public meeting. The bullet hit him in the head. He was first taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a seriously injured condition. After undergoing surgery there, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. Later, Hadi was taken to Singapore General Hospital by air ambulance for advanced treatment. Hadi breathed his last while undergoing treatment there on the night of December 18.
