The area from Manik Mia Avenue in the capital to Dhaka University's (DU) TSC to see the tomb of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi has turned into a sea of ​​people. Hadi's body was taken to Dhaka University after the funeral prayer at the South Plaza of the Parliament Building at 2:30 pm on Saturday (December 20).

At that time, the ambulance carrying the body reached the tomb premises by breaking through the crowd on the road. The crowd was stopped by barricades in the area to facilitate the burial.

Then, at around 3:30 pm, he was laid to rest next to the tomb of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, adjacent to the university's central Jama Masjid. Earlier, Hadi's elder brother Abu Bakar Siddique led the funeral procession in the presence of millions of people at the South Plaza of the Parliament Building.

Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Secretary General Professor Mia Md. Golam Parwar, BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed, NCP Convener Nahid Islam and leaders of various political parties were also present at the funeral. Inquilab Manch Member Secretary Jaber and Religious Advisor Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain delivered speeches before the funeral.

On December 12, miscreants shot Osman Hadi in the head on Box Culvert Road in Purana Paltan, Dhaka. He was first treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and later at Evercare Hospital. As his condition deteriorated, Osman Hadi was taken to Singapore by air ambulance on December 15 for better treatment. He died there last Thursday while undergoing treatment.
