Hadi murder: Home Affairs Advisor's resignation demanded if government fails to inform on action within 24 hours.

The government must inform on what action it has taken regarding the assassination of Sharif Osman Hadi within the next 24 hours, otherwise, Inqilab Mancha member secretary Abdullah Al Jaber has demanded the resignation of Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. He made this demand in a speech before Osman Hadi's funeral in the capital's Sangsad Bhaban area on Saturday (December 20).

Abdullah Al Jaber said, 'Did we come here to cry? What did we come here for? We are standing at this funeral today to avenge my brother's blood. Osman Hadi was shot a week and 168 hours ago. Has his killer been arrested so far? Has the government assured you of arresting the killer so far? Have they told us where the murderer is? We clearly think that there is not one murderer here, but a whole gang has worked here.’

He said, ‘We want to inform you on behalf of Inqilab Manch and his family – the murderer, the planner of the murder, the aide and the entire gang must be brought to justice. Within the next 24 hours, Home Affairs Advisor and Assistant Advisor (Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor) Khoda Baksh Chowdhury must come before the public and publicly inform the public about the steps they have taken in the last one week regarding this murder. If they cannot inform, they must be ready to resign. We, Inqilab Manch, will not let the blood of Osman Hadi go in vain.’

The member secretary of Inqilab Manch said, ‘We want to declare that justice will be established in Bangladesh through the blood of Sharif Osman Hadi. He has repeatedly said that if we have to give our lives to protect the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh and fight for justice, we will give our lives, but we will not give up the fight for justice. Therefore, we have to fight for justice.’

He also said, ‘On behalf of his family, we want to inform the state that if it takes the blood of five more members of his family - brothers and sisters - to protect this state, they are ready to give it. Still, these murderers must be identified and brought to justice.’

Abdullah Al Jaber said, ‘Either Bangladesh will have independence and sovereignty and justice will be established, or we are all ready to give blood for Bangladesh. You will not choose the path of any kind of violence under the propaganda of anyone other than the Inquilab Manch. On behalf of the Inquilab Manch, we will inform when and what action to take.’
