Rangpur Riders are bringing a big surprise to the BPL

The 12th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will start on December 19. The players' draft of the tournament will be held on November 17, with the participation of five teams. In the meantime, the franchises have started their preparations around the tournament. They are eyeing not only domestic cricketers but also foreigners.

Three new franchises have joined the five teams in this year's BPL. However, only Rangpur Riders and Dhaka Capitals remain among the old franchises of the BPL. The Dhaka franchise has already given a big surprise by bringing Saif Hasan and Taskin Ahmed to the team on direct contracts. Rangpur Riders, the one-time BPL title winner, is not far behind.

For the upcoming edition, Rangpur Riders have brought Mustafizur Rahman as a domestic cricketer in addition to Nurul Hasan Sohan. Among the foreigners, there are cricketers from Pakistan like Khushdil Shah, Fahim Ashraf and Aqib Javed. Apart from this, Rangpur has also brought England's star cricketer Dawid Malan and West Indies cricketer Kyle Myers to their camp.

Apart from this, Rangpur has also finalized the coaching staff. Mickey Arthur will be seen in the dugout of the team again this time. He has been the head coach of the team in the last few seasons of the BPL, starting from the Global Super League. Arthur will be with the team again this time. Along with him, assistant coach Mohammad Ashraful, batting coach Shahriar Nafees, and spin bowling coach Mohammad Rafiq will be there.
