Iran has continued its attacks on vessels operating without permission in the Persian Gulf. As part of this, the country's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked two oil tankers on Wednesday night. One of them was a US ship. One person was killed instantly, Al Jazeera reported.

Following the attack, Iran released a video in which it claimed an explosives-laden boat hit a US-owned oil tanker in Iraqi waters. It was one of two fuel tankers hit in the attack on Wednesday night. At least one crew member was killed in the attack.

Meanwhile, the Times of Israel reported that two oil tankers were attacked in the Persian Gulf, killing one person, as Iran continued to attack various targets throughout the region.

The Israeli military reported that it had struck a "critical" nuclear facility near Tehran amid continued US and Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran has also continued its missile attacks on Israel. After a coordinated attack with its Lebanon-based proxy Hezbollah on Wednesday night, it fired five missiles into Israel on Thursday afternoon, the 13th day of the war.

Iran has been targeting countries in the region throughout the war, which began with US and Israeli strikes on February 28, and has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, a major artery for global oil supplies. While countries have been releasing their oil reserves at historic rates, the attacks on the two oil tankers have deepened the crisis, sending crude prices skyrocketing.

Arab states in the region have also said they will shoot down Iranian-launched projectiles (missiles or drones) that have hit their residential areas and diplomatic areas.
