Iran has been reduced to rubble by the US-Israeli attack. So far, 1,000 Iranians have been killed, including the country's supreme religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Countless innocent people in Iran are crying because of the war.
Iranian women's team forward Sara Didar, who is in Queensland, about 13,000 kilometers away to play in the Women's Asian Cup, is crying for her country.
Australia and Iran will face each other tomorrow at 3 pm Bangladesh time on the Gold Coast, Queensland. When Iranian forward Sara came to the press conference today before that match, the issue of the hotly debated state of war in the Middle East came to her.
She burst into tears while speaking. The Iranian forward said with teary eyes, "What happened in Iran worries us about our families and loved ones in that country. But I really hope we will get good news in the future. Our country will stand strong."
Iranian coach Marzia Jafari came with Sara to the press conference. The coach also became emotional while speaking, "We are very worried about our families and people in Iran. No one likes war. But we are here to play professional football. We are trying our best to stay focused on the upcoming matches and games."
The Iranian coach also said, "The Iranian-Australians here are supporting us. We are very happy to be in such a country. Everyone there is united and supportive. We also like them very much. We will try to make them proud of us."
Iran is also responding to the US-Israeli attacks. Iran is launching missile attacks on various countries in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Survival in such a war situation in the Middle East has become very uncertain. Fires were seen burning in the Palm Jumeirah resort in Dubai.
