This is a US war: Iranian Foreign Minister’s accusation

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi directly accused Al Jazeera in an interview that the current conflict spreading across the Middle East is essentially a US war. According to him, the United States is mainly responsible for the ongoing instability and war in the region.
Araghchi described Iran's recent military actions as self-defensive and legitimate retaliation. He stressed that Iran has in no way targeted civilians. However, the massive presence of US military forces in the Gulf has brought the situation to a point where an increase in tension is now inevitable.
Hinting at future steps, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that Iran could introduce new rules for navigation in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. He rejected a temporary ceasefire proposal and emphasized a permanent solution to the conflict.
