The famous German twin sisters Kessler Twins, famous singers and dancers, Alice and Allen Kessler, have died together.

Munich police said in a statement on Tuesday (November 18) that Alice and Allen Kessler took their own lives in their home in Grunewald. They had been planning their joint death for a long time.

Such a departure from the world is rare; although somewhat tragic, the two twin sisters decided to die together in their home. They were 89 years old at the time.

The sisters, known professionally as the ‘Kessler Twins’, were discovered in 1955 by the director of the famous Lido Cabaret Theater in Paris, through which their international career began, and they represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Cannes in 1959.

Germany respects voluntary death. There is an organization in Germany that respects citizens' voluntary death. And makes their path easier. These twin artists are members of one such organization, the 'German Society for Humane Dying'. Before euthanasia, they also had preliminary discussions with a lawyer and a doctor. Earlier, in an interview given to the Italian press last year, Alice and Allen Kessler expressed their desire to die together on the same day.

It is worth noting that Alice and Allen were born in 1936 and trained as dancers from an early age. Their entertainment career began after their family fled from East Germany to West Germany in the 1950s.
