Gold prices in Pakistan fall sharply

The price of gold in Pakistan and globally witnessed a massive decrease on Wednesday after a few days of minimal drop. 

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola saw a drop of Rs2,245 on Wednesday to reach Rs359,055. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs1,925, taking it to Rs307,831. 

The global gold market also witnessed a big change, with the price of gold per ounce falling by $20 to reach $3,378.

The silver prices in Pakistan, however, saw an increase, with the price of a tola of 24-karat silver rising to Rs3,878, and the price for 10 grams of silver hiking to Rs3,324.
