Gold prices have increased again in the domestic market.
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has decided to increase the price of gold in the domestic market again. This time, the maximum price has been increased to 1,470 taka per bhori. As a result, the price of good quality gold has exceeded 217,000 taka. This information was given in a BAJUS notification on Monday (December 15). The new price will be effective from Tuesday (December 16).
The notification said that the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation.
According to the new price, the price of a bhori of the best quality or 22 carat gold is 217,067 taka, a bhori of 21 carat is 217,067 taka, a bhori of 21 carat is 217,021 taka, a bhori of 18 carat is 177,643 taka and the price of a bhori of traditional gold has been fixed at 147,900 taka.
The notification further said that although the price of gold has increased, the price of silver has remained unchanged. The price of a 22-carat bhori of silver is 4,572 taka. In addition, the price of a 21-carat bhori of silver is 4,362 taka, a 18-carat bhori of silver is 3,732 taka, and a traditional bhori of silver is 2,800 taka.
