The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of gold in the country's market for the second consecutive time. From Sunday (December 14), the new price of a 22-carat gold bhori has been increased by Tk 3,452 per bhori, and the new price has been set at Tk 2,15,597. The price increase was announced in a notification by BAJUS on Saturday (December 13) night.

Earlier, BAJUS had last adjusted the price of gold in the country's market on December 11. On that day, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori was set at Tk 2,12,145 per bhori.

According to the new price, the current price of a 22-carat bhori (11.664 grams) of gold will be Tk 2,15,597. In addition, the price of gold per 21-carat bori will be 2 lakh 5 thousand 800 taka, per 18-carat bori 1 lakh 76 thousand 395 taka and per 1 lakh 46 thousand 838 taka in the traditional method.

In total, Bajus has adjusted the price of gold in the domestic market a total of 85 times so far this year. Where the price has been increased 57 times, and the price has decreased only 27 times. On the other hand, last year, the price of gold was adjusted a total of 62 times in the domestic market. Where the price was increased 35 times. In addition, the price of gold was reduced 27 times last year.
