Another 60,875 metric tons of wheat arrived from the United State

Another 60,875 metric tons of wheat imported from the United States has arrived in the country. The ship named MV Wikotati arrived at the outer anchorage of Bagerhat's Mongla Port with this huge wheat shipment on Saturday (November 15).
This huge wheat shipment has arrived in the country under the cash purchase agreement in light of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United States and the Bangladesh government. A total of 440,000 metric tons of wheat will be imported from the United States under this agreement.
As part of this, 56,959 metric tons of wheat arrived in the country in the first shipment from the United States on October 25. Later, another 60,802 metric tons of wheat reached the country in the second shipment on November 3.
A total of 178,636 metric tons of wheat has reached the country out of a total of 440,000 metric tons of wheat, including Saturday's shipment, under the agreement. The process of testing samples of wheat stored on the third shipment has already begun. Along with this, necessary measures have been taken to quickly unload the wheat after the wheat sample testing.
