‘AI and IoT Revolution’ workshop organized by CSE Department of State University of Bangladesh

A hands-on workshop titled ‘AI and IoT Revolution: Driving Innovation Beyond Boundaries’ was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of State University of Bangladesh. The aim of the workshop was to enable students to acquire practical skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) and to inspire innovative thinking.

The keynote address of the workshop was presented by Dr. Mosaddek Hossain Kamal Tushar, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka. In his speech, he discussed in detail the potential and impact of AI and IoT technologies in the economies of developing countries. Dr. Tushar said that Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things are not a concept of the future, but rather the driving force of economic transformation in today’s era. The proper application of these technologies can revolutionize the sectors of agriculture, health, transportation and education.

The inaugural session of the workshop was graced by the chief guest, Vice Chancellor of State University of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain Khan. The special guests were Professor Dr. Naozia Yasmin, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Ahmed Hussain, Registrar, State University of Bangladesh.

The speakers said that students should be accustomed to technology-based education in line with the current industrial revolution. The university authorities emphasized on developing the young generation through a combination of research, innovation, and practical training. The participants of the workshop worked on practical applications of IoT devices, real-time data monitoring, and AI algorithms in various practical sessions.

The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Sharmin Parveen and the guest of honor was Professor Dr. Pintu Chandra Shil, Chairman of the Department. Both thanked the keynote speaker and all the members involved in the event.

Students said that this workshop played an important role in developing their practical experience and innovative thinking.
