The country's army has conducted a massive anti-terror operation in Balochistan. In this operation conducted by the security forces in Balochistan province, 41 Indian-backed terrorists have been killed. The military of this nuclear-armed country has said that the operation to eradicate foreign-backed terrorism will be further intensified and the operation will continue until such a threat is completely suppressed.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan military said that a total of 41 Indian-backed terrorists were killed in two separate operations conducted in Balochistan based on intelligence information. In a statement on Friday, the ISPR said that the security forces are determined to crush the threat of terrorism.
The ISPR statement said that the slain terrorists were members of the Indian proxy organizations 'Fitna al-Khawarij' and 'Fitna al-Hindustan'. These operations were conducted on Thursday based on intelligence information.
The ISPR said the first operation was conducted on the outskirts of Harnai district. There were inputs about the presence of members of ‘Fitna al-Khawarij’ there. During the operation, the security forces effectively targeted the hideout of the terrorists and after intense firing, 30 Indian-backed Khawarij terrorists were killed. The statement added that a large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the slain terrorists in the operation and they were destroyed on the spot.
The second intelligence-based operation was conducted in Panjgur district. A terrorist hideout was destroyed there and 11 Indian-backed terrorists of ‘Fitna al-Hindustan’ were killed. The ISPR said that along with arms and ammunition, looted money from a bank robbery that took place in Panjgur on December 15 last year was also recovered from the slain terrorists. The statement said that these terrorists were involved in many terrorist activities in the past.
Security forces said that if any more Indian-backed terrorists are hiding in the area, a 'sanitization operation' is being conducted to eliminate them. The ISPR said that under the 'Azam-e-Istehkam' vision, the continuous counter-terrorism operations of the Pakistani security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue at full speed and the root of foreign-sponsored terrorism will be uprooted from the country.
It is worth noting that since the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021, the number of cross-border terrorist attacks in Pakistan has increased. Especially the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, which border Afghanistan, are being affected the most.
At a press conference on January 6, ISPR Director General Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that a total of 75,175 intelligence-based operations were conducted across Pakistan in 2025. On the other hand, a total of 5,397 terrorist attacks were recorded across the country in the same year.
Lieutenant General Chowdhury said a total of 2,597 terrorists were killed in anti-terror operations in 2025.
