The country’s security forces have conducted an intelligence-based operation in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. Four armed members of the ‘Indian proxy force’ were killed in the operation, the Pakistan Army’s media wing said.

On Tuesday (November 4), the Pakistan Army’s public relations department, ISPR, said that four ‘Indian-sponsored terrorists’ were killed after the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Kalat district of Balochistan.

Islamabad has been accusing India of supporting the armed groups mainly in that region. And for this, Pakistan has designated the groups as ‘Indian proxy force’ or ‘Fitna al Hindustan’.

In a statement, the Pakistan ISPR said that the security forces conducted an IBO on November 1 after receiving information about the presence of ‘Indian proxy Fitna al Hindustan militants’. During the operation, the troops effectively attacked the terrorist hideout and sent four of them to ‘hell’.

The security forces also recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition from the slain terrorists. The ISPR said that a sanitization operation is now underway to find out if there are any more Indian-backed terrorists in the area.

President Asif Ali Zardari, in a message on X, paid tribute to the security forces for the operation and said, ‘The nation stands firmly with its forces in its resolve to eradicate terrorism under Operation Azam-e-Istehkam.’

The ISPR announced the operation in Balochistan a day after at least three ‘terrorists’ were killed in two separate clashes in another province, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Incidentally, there has been a huge increase in terrorist attacks in Pakistan. Especially in KP and Balochistan provinces, their level is the highest. And the main targets of these attacks are the police, law enforcement personnel and security forces. Attacks increased after the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan violated a ceasefire agreement with the government in 2022.
