Spain coach opens up about Carvajal-Yamal feud in El Clasico

Dani Carvajal and Lamine Yamal were seen in the first El Clasico of the season. Real Madrid full-back Carvajal got into a verbal spat with Barca's Yamal. However, Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has assured fans that this club feud will not cause any division in the Spanish national team. He has personally spoken to the two star footballers for the national team's sake.
After Yamal's 'Real steals, then complains' comment before the match, Carvajal addressed Yamal after the match, saying, 'You talk too much'. Although this club feud has raised concerns about the unity of the national team, the Spain coach has dismissed it.
“Nothing major happened, there was no schoolyard brawl,” said Spain national team coach Luis de la Fuente, recently appearing on a podcast called Resonancia de Corazón. “To be honest, there is a sense of unity and family within the national team.”
The coach said he had been in personal contact with current Spain captain Carvajal and the Spanish team’s lifeblood Yamal, adding, “I spoke a lot with Lamine, as well as with Carvajal.”
He recalled a moment from Euro 2024, where the embrace between the two after Carvajal scored from Yamal’s cross perfectly captured the national team’s bond. “The most important thing is the interests of the whole team,” de la Fuente insisted.
