The country has confirmed the number of Iranian students killed in the 12-day conflict that erupted in June over the Israeli attack on Iran. The director general of Tehran's education department said, "26 students were martyred in that conflict."

On Tuesday (November 4), Iran's semi-official Mehr news agency reported that this year's 13 Aban and anti-arrogance events are being held in the country at a time when they have witnessed crimes in Israel and the United States.

The official said, "26 students from Tehran lost their lives in the conflict, but other students have come forward with greater determination to make up for their absence." He also said that the students' participation in the 13 Aban march would make the enemies regret it.

Earlier, on June 13, Israel launched an unannounced and provocative attack on Iran, which later turned into a 12-day conflict. At least 1,064 Iranians were killed in the war. Among the dead were many military officers, nuclear scientists, and civilians.

At one point in the conflict, the United States directly intervened on behalf of Israel and bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities. In response, the Iranian armed forces retaliated by attacking strategic installations in the occupied Palestinian territories and the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest US base in West Asia. The conflict ended on June 24 with the agreement of both sides. It continues to inspire generations to fight for their country.
