Husband kept his child next to his wife after beating her to death

A horrific murder has taken place in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh, India. A man beat his wife to death with an iron rod over a family dispute and then left their 3-year-old child locked in the house with the body. 

Police said the accused's name is Moinuddin. He was a local government ration dealer. The deceased's name is Roshni (24). Moinuddin and Roshni had been in a love relationship for four years and got married.

Locals said that the couple had a fight on Saturday (November 01) night. Moinuddin got angry and hit Roshni with an iron rod, killing her on the spot.

District Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Gupta said that on Sunday (November 02) morning, other members of the family broke the door after hearing the child's cries from the house. They saw the three-year-old child sitting next to the blood-soaked body of the mother. The police were then informed.

He said the police have arrested the accused Moinuddin and have started an investigation into the incident.
