Cyclone 'Mantha' has weakened and turned into a low pressure. However, due to its impact, rain continues across the country, including the capital.

In the last 24 hours, the country has also recorded a maximum rainfall of 162 millimeters and a minimum temperature. In this situation, storms with a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour may occur in 10 districts of the country by Saturday (November 1) night.

Meteorologist Abul Kalam Mallick said that between 3 pm on Saturday and 1 am on Saturday, rain or thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusts or gusty winds at a speed of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may blow from the southeast or east over Jessore, Kushtia, Pabna, Faridpur, Madaripur, Dhaka, Tangail, Mymensingh, Comilla and Sylhet. River ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.

Meanwhile, torrential rains continue in various parts of the country, including the capital, until Saturday evening. The intensity of rainfall is likely to continue for the next 5 days. The Meteorological Department has also predicted that a low pressure area may form in the Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas in the next 48 hours.

In the last 24 hours, Tentulia in Panchagarh recorded the highest rainfall of 162 mm in the country. On the other hand, the lowest temperature in the country during this period was in Tentulia, at 20.7 degrees Celsius.
