I wouldn’t have taken Harry and Meghan back if I were a member of the royal family: Trump

US President Donald Trump has said he is "happy" that Prince Harry and his family have left the US and are returning to the UK. He also said that if he were a member of the royal family, he would not have taken them back.
Trump made these remarks in response to a question from reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday (September 2) local time.
In a report, Pakistani media outlet Samaa TV said that after six years in California, USA, Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, recently decided to return to Britain.
They arrived in Britain at the end of August. Earlier in 2020, Harry and Meghan moved to the United States after stepping back from official royal duties.
"I'm happy about it. I wasn't a fan of theirs," Trump said at the press conference. He said he felt Harry and Meghan had behaved "extremely disrespectfully" towards members of the royal family.
He also mentioned his good relationship with the late Queen Elizabeth II and the current King Charles III, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
Trump also directly criticized Meghan's behavior. He said, "I didn't like her behavior. I thought she was very disrespectful."
Trump also said, "If I were a member of the royal family, I wouldn't take them back."
In an interview after his trip to the United States, Harry accused the royal family of neglect. Meghan also alleged that before their child was born, there had been "concerns and discussions" within the royal family about how dark the baby's skin might be.
Harry's older brother, Prince William, however, stood by the royal family after these allegations, saying, "We are not racist."
Harry also said that excessive media surveillance and the British government's lack of adequate measures for his family's safety were also among the reasons for moving to the United States.
It is believed that Harry and Meghan will not be working members of the royal family for the time being upon their return to Britain.
Last month, a source close to the couple said they were planning to live outside London for an extended period of time with their children, with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet attending school in Britain.
It is not entirely clear why Harry and Meghan returned to Britain, but Harry has previously said he wants his children to spend more time in the UK.
