Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has announced that the Israeli army will not be withdrawn from South Lebanon despite pressure or demands from the United States. He made it clear that Israel will maintain its military presence in the border region until security is ensured.

In comments published in local media reports, Katz said that the nearly 200,000 Lebanese residents displaced by Israeli military operations and attacks will not be allowed to return to the area. He claimed that road bombings and other attacks were carried out against the Israeli army by taking advantage of the presence of civilians in the areas used as security zones in the past.

He also said that no risk will be taken this time by learning from the experience of the past. Considering the security situation, Israel's military presence in southern Lebanon will be maintained and there are no plans to withdraw troops. We are not moving, he commented.

Katz's statement comes at a time when international discussions continue on the border situation and regional security. According to analysts, Israel's stance on maintaining a military presence in southern Lebanon could further complicate the security and diplomatic situation in the region.
