US President Donald Trump has assured Washington that Iran is not collecting any tolls or fees from any ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
He made this claim in a post on his social media account 'Truth Social'. However, if this information given by Tehran is proven false in any way, he has also strongly warned that all ongoing negotiations with the country will be immediately stopped.
Giving a green signal, Trump wrote in his post in all capital letters that Iran is not demanding or accepting any tolls, insurance costs or any other charges from any ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Rejecting the issue of any financial transactions with Iran, the US president further clarified that no money has been given to Iran by the United States or released to them. However, some of the frozen or blocked funds of Iran, which are under the complete control of the United States, will be released for the benefit of American farmers and ranchers. This money will be used to buy food grains such as corn, wheat and soybeans from American farmers.
At the end of the post, Trump mentioned that Iran is currently facing a severe food crisis and urgent need. And that is why he confirmed that these food items will be purchased with their blocked funds and that they will be purchased exclusively from the United States.
